The sun sets on another day…
Sunset was once again grey and misty, but I would have asked the world to play misty for me, simply because it made the day special. As the sun set and darkness fell, it was the end to a pleasant day.
I found myself thinking about what it takes to make a difference today. I have several projects going on and many of these projects are not for me. Although I may benefit the focus is on other people. This is a positive for most people because it gives them a certain sense of self satisfaction but my question is more what does it take to make a difference in our lives.
I have found that there needs to be a balance between ensuring that your own needs are met and getting the satisfaction of helping others. If you focus too much on yourself it pretty much pans out that you become a complete and total loser. If you focus too much on others it pretty much turns out that people take advantage of you and you don’t necessarily achieve anything for yourself. Sure there are variations of this and I am not painting with a broad brush instead I am giving a mild guideline.
I have rewritten this several times and I think I’m going to fall with this is a very personal journey and it is up to you to determine how you make a difference. Whether you’re making a difference is pushing hard or being more cautious it’s up to you and all I can say after rewriting this over and over is that make sure you are a part of the equation. And don’t let it be a small part.
So as the sun sets on another day I hope that you make a difference for yourself and everyone else. Be that person that can change the world each and every day, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and keep moving forward…
