The sun sets on another day…
The clouds held the sky captive as shadows flashed across the ground and the night rolled in. There were only shades of grey during twilight, but somewhere high above the world shimmered in anticipation.
There are things in life that we think are important and there are things in life that are important. It’s funny how it works and even funny how the world seems to fit together.
A million dollars in the bank for one more sunset, would it be worth it? How do we measure those little bitty things that pass us by day by day that we sometimes discard but hang on to us deeply.
I will never whine about my past because it is my past to live and it made me who I am. I will never pine about the future because it is not here yet unless all time is concurrent. But I will learn from both. I will remember the past and the things that I have done and all the things that were important to me. I will think about the future and all of the things that I could still do and might still do and live hard each day in the present and try to do so.
Many times we say it’s complicated or that time will come and all that does is slow us down from living our best life. Instead we need to grab on to life and squeeze every moment out of it until it can give us no more. After all the only tomorrow that ever comes is when it is today.
