The sun sets on another day…
Oh for the drone today as I rushed to the beach only to be assaulted by dense fog. My friend and I saw this years ago and I used the drone to fly above it with spectacular results. This time I was stuck with a little darkness, and a wet windshield. Still, Pepper and I had fun, so it was a good time.
I smiled tonight as I drank a little bit of tea. It was a good night. I’ve worked on editing a book, wrote two poems, spend some time formatting another book, and then wrote three chapters in a book that I am attempting to finish. I’d like to think that it was very productive but it is very overdue.
As I sat and drank my tea I felt pretty good about my accomplishment but it is, as I said, long overdue. I have to put habits back in place and start finishing things more effectively. In the end this will give me the positive reinforcement I need to be complete. It won’t be easy all the time but I do write here every day so that I can always continue writing.
How about you? Overdue on anything? Did you get it all done? I’m just asking because sometimes it’s the little things that slow us down and we need to step over those things and create effective habits to complete the tasks that are important to us. Some people will say if you’re not doing it it’s not important but those people need to pay close attention to what’s going on and realize that sometimes not doing it is because it is important. It sounds backwards but it is often true.
So as the sun sets on another day, let’s take a moment and enjoy all that we can. Let’s finish a few things and start checking off the boxes on the list we have and when we’re done let’s drink a little tea and enjoy the moments, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and keep living…
