The sun sets on another day…
Sunset was wonderful, but I was driving home and could not get a good angle on it, sorry. Still, I have the memory and it was more than worth it.
I’m reminded of an old movie where the start of a fantastic quote is “the valley to the heart is very rare…”
Today while wandering around work and enjoying every moment that I can, I ran into two people that made me smile. It’s always interesting when you start talking to people as the world can be unique in its methods of communication. As is normal I have no issue talking to anyone, but often people are intimidated as I have no social conscience and am monumentally massive. Today’s discussion though was quite different.
The two people and I had a thoroughly enjoyable discussion about every day being a good day. I have talked about this subject dozens of times if not hundreds. The central point of 29,000 sunsets has always been to define yourself daily and have the best days that you possibly can. A lot of people can’t see this because they are looking for reasons to not enjoy themselves, usually rooted in worrying about the past or the future. Often what’s right in front of us is what can make our day good and we just fail to embrace it.
We discussed some great concepts and had a few laughs and talked about a few of my books. In the process I found two people that were spectacular and had a clear view of life while I was there. I listened and paid attention but also spent time explaining me, and the concept of this site and being always “good”.
In the end I need to say this for all again. Each day I make a decision to be positive and you can as well. Each day there are many reasons to have a bad day. I choose not to. Not because I am nice or have something to prove but instead because there will never be enough days. Wasting even one is almost a crime. Having a bad day is just a waste of time, right?
Anyway, I hope we can all smile and make the world a better place. Perhaps we can all move forward to the best in every day. In the end, the world will be a better place if we realize that today is our best day ever, and we can pass that on.
For myself I can only be thankful for the two fantastic people who made my day a little better.
So as the sun sets on another day, there is no better day than today. Prove it to yourself, understand that today matters and is not worthy of a “bad day”. Think about it, and make all of your days as good as they can be, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and keep spreading good days…
