The sun sets on another day…
Storms are interesting over the ocean or a big lake. You see them build from little or move in like massive battleships. In the end it will start small, then take over all it can.
As I watched the storm today I was fascinated and enjoyed the moments as the cloud built upon itself and became something more. It wasn’t long before the small puffy cloud that I had been watching was darkened and full of power, then a short time later it became a storm with streak lightning and powerful rain easily seen beneath it. It was intense and the entire event took less than 2 hours.
Wow.
It’s amazing how something so powerful can start so small. It is equally amazing that that’s something can be gone quickly as it’s power dissipates across the horizon. I’m sure there are hundreds of books on the power of the storm but this morning I enjoyed that moment.
As sunset came and passed I enjoyed the sky but was still haunted by the storm and the impression that it had made. The storm lingered all day and in doing so gave a light breeze across the land.
Maybe we should all think a little about how we build as well. Maybe somewhere we are the storm and there is no clear definition for when we shift from a simple cloud to a powerful force. How we use that for us is up to us. For creative creation or destruction we decide who we are each day and in doing so we offer ourselves the ability to slowly build and become something more.
So as the sun sets on another day, I hope you find the power inside to create a new and along the way I hope you realize that each moment is an opportunity to build and become a powerful force. Keep building and make a difference in the world each day, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and grow with me…
