The sun sets on another day…
Sunset made the sky spotted with color. The thick clouds stole away some light, painting with greys, reds, violets and more as the sky shifted, and darkness came again.
I was laughing today as I looked at the roses in front of my office window. The colors were amazing and vibrant but it was the Bush that made me laugh. The stalks are currently taller than I am and I have to reach up on my tip toes in order to smell the roses. I know, who makes up this stuff anyway.
I have told my story about the roses numerous times and won’t bore you to tears by telling it again. If you are interested simply search roses on 29,000 sunsets and you will find it. Still it is things like this that make me stop, laugh, and realize how important the little things in life are. If this one rose can make me laugh all of my roses make my days fantastic. I think that that is quite amazing.
I wrote a poem about love that incorporated a rose a long long time ago. Here’s a revision from today.
The Rose
Like this stunning rose you hold my heart and keep in in your care
The world is stunning, like this rose and pulls life everywhere
This stunning rose and send a scent and ascend us higher still
but nothing makes our hearts grow stronger like our force of will
Yes this rose, it holds my heart, but not so much you see
The person holding my stunning rose in no one else but me
A moment lost is never gained, when time is in the mix
If I want my life to be so great, it won’t be from more clicks
I hold my heart as tender, as I gently hold this rose
Where my heart will take me I never seem to know
but one thing I know truly, and no for evermore
Is nothing is for certain, not now or evermore
So as the sun sets on another day, I kind of like having a rose bigger than I am. It’s nice to know that there is still beauty in the world and even nicer to know that that beauty is shared with me. I hope you find a way to be awesome today and every day and when you see a rose that is almost 7 feet tall, maybe giggle a little, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and a rose will smell as sweet…
