The sun sets on another day…
Sunset was rainy, and sunny, and full of mystery. I guess you can say there are sunsets that defy the sunset, this was one.
I sat watching people and thinking about the doorways that we go through in life. When I did so I wrote a rather long essay on it. I put that essay here on 29,000 sunsets and then, as I reread it, I felt it was far too much negativity about people as a whole. My fault, my mistake.
It is important to me to embrace positivity all that I can even though negativity creeps in often. It is a battle that we all must face and it is much easier to walk down the negative side or let the darkness consume us than it is to lift ourselves up and set aside the darkness of the world. I know some of you will reach out to me and ask to read what I wrote and maybe someday I’ll share it as there are over 200 posts in draft format that went through a similar review. Suffice it to say that my decision it’s a good one and all of you are better without reading it now. Maybe later.
As we walk through the doors of life it’s important to choose the positive ones but equally as important to open positive doors for others. Many people never get that opportunity. Many people don’t get to see how good the world can be once they’re surrounded by the things that are bad. For you I am hopeful that your head is above water far enough that you can realize that the emptiness you feel or the darkness that attempts to slide in on you is transient and you have the ability to banish it at anytime. You don’t need me, you don’t need the next door neighbor, you just need the resolve to overcome the negatives. I hope you do so.
So as the sun sets on another day, let’s keep being awesome and realize that the world is a fantastic place for us. Let’s find ways to set aside the bad things and open the good doors for ourselves and others who would walk through with us. After all, it’s all fun and games if you want it to be. You can make a difference to yourself and others if you want to , no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and door number 1 please…
