The sun sets on another day…
Another beautiful day, how can I be so lucky? How can we all be so lucky? The beauty is astounding and I soak it in just because.
Welcome to February 2nd. It’s a great day to dance. Perhaps because it is a Tutu. Get it 2/2. I know, it is a horrible pun. Still February 2nd should be a national dance day simply because of this simple play on words. Maybe every day should be a dance day so that we can all do that one thing that music and literature has said: “dance like no one’s watching.”
I laugh at that very thought because I have to dance like no one’s walking. I have to constantly realize but I am not the best dancer in the world but I dance hard and try to have fun. There are things that I’m very good at and that is just never been one of them. I thought I had it down a long time ago when I tried to speed up some of the things I was taught in a class and make it more like a dance. In reality I still looked like an awkward giant, but I was an awkward giant having fun. I guess it’s fine not to be the best dancer but perhaps as people look on and see me trying and realize that I don’t care if they’re watching, maybe they’ll join me.
So as the sun sets on another day, welcome to Tutu. I hope you danced like no one was watching and watched the sunset fade into the western sky. I hope it brought her tear to your eye. I hope it made you realize that even though sometimes something isn’t perfect, it’s still worth watching. Be yourself always, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and keep living…
