Paradox
A slide to the left, a pace to the right
The world turns and I find my fight
I work so hard and shine so bright
That darkness may never hold the night
And when the world seems asleep
I pray to all my soul to keep
No good nor bad nor ever sheep
and forever strong but able to weep
Whosoever can be found
and holds the soul for getting down
can find their day is now unwound
a thunderous silence full of sound
I’ll stand and fight to make the peace
and wear the coat when it should be fleece
then by the home that I should lease
and hold on tight and turn the keys
