The sun sets on another day
It was beautiful outside. Crisp and clear with a bright blue sky that shifted to reds and oranges and hews in between.I found myself lost in thought, still reeling from a very long month. The beauty was there and pulled me from it all.
If you haven’t ever seen the movie, the master of disguise, you may not have missed anything. Lots of people don’t really like the movie, but I find it to be a lot of innocent fun and a lot of good quips and easy jokes.
As I sit here, wondering how a man dressed as a turtle is not turtle enough for the turtle club I’m laughing to myself, and thinking about how we all wear a shell.
I found a turtle in this picture quite some time ago, it was obvious the shell had taken a beating, but he came out on top, and was doing just fine. Whatever happened wasn’t enough to stop him from being who he wanted to be.
I think many of us have a similar turtle shell on, although some of us wear it on the inside. As we move forward or scratches, Dents, and repaired cracks maybe hit, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t still there. It doesn’t mean that we don’t still have trauma that caused us to wear a little differently. 
That’s OK, because that same Repair that we made to our shells helped us be better, grow more, and be the person that we needed to be. Although our shells are on the inside, they still bear those scars.
Who cares, right? Well, I for one feel that we should all consider well everything that goes on, and not shy away from it, but be proud of the things we have gone through, and in that, perhaps we can find a way to be better, and to be more.
We can overcome anything.
So as the sun sets on another day, I hope you realize that the scars we were inside or out, made us a wonderful person we are. Be proud of your scars, and grow from them always and forever, no matter what.
