The sun sets on another day…
Sunset was once again clear and beautiful. The sky was crisp and there was nothing in the air but dreams and color. As the sun slowed and passed over the horizon, I smiled, and the world seemed to take on a new life as night came upon us all.
I was staring at the clouds and thought about the shapes before me. They say what you see defines who you are, and I believe that is true. So as a stared at the cloud in the picture my mind wandered and wondered. Somewhere I went into a dream and layers of smoke appeared. That was followed by a manta ray swimming through the blue clouds. Of course I had to see a seagull for a moment and think of my grandparents and my grandmother who felt that seagulls were beautiful.
I took another second and I saw letters spelling out the word “why” and I laughed that’s how I answered the question. There was more to life than why. I’d like to believe that Clown was right in the movie Spawn, “why ask why when how is so much more fun.” I came up with a few final shapes and then came back to reality and kept watching the skies and all their beauty.
Take a look at the picture with this post. What do you see? What does that say about you? Does it say anything or is it just the edge of your imagination? Either way, it’s amazing.
So as the sun sets on another day, take a moment and look to the sky. Look at the paint fading on the wall and the patterns that it makes. Look at the eddies and swirls inside of a river. Watch the bubbles in a fountain move to and fro. Then let your mind wander to all it represents. I think you’ll have fun with it, no matter what.
