The sun sets on another day…
It was a stunning sunset. There could be nothing more beautiful than the sun setting in the western sky full of color and looking as though the world was just a series of pink and orange shades. I find myself smiling and enjoying every moment.
I watched it darker version of A Christmas Carol tonight. The symbolism was stunning and as I watched I found myself going on circles about many of the actual meanings of the story itself. I found myself spiraling into thoughts upon thoughts and then put additional thoughts upon those. It was a beautiful production but playing far too much with the artsy and far too little with what I thought was the core of the story.
I guess that gets me to the bigger question, what is the core of the story? Is it about personal redemption? Is it about the humility that one ghost has to save someone in the real world? Is it about finding a path? Is it about saving humanity? All of those things are possible. It was also possible this was just another story by someone trying to make a statement about the world. Things like that happen.
For me the story continues to be about living each day as the best possible day you can and as I watched this version, another of many umm I felt good about my decision to always try to do so. Sometimes I may not succeed but I will try each and every day.
So as the sun sets on another day, A Christmas Carol is dark enough, I don’t think we needed all this art house fluff but it was still fun and I still enjoyed it. Keep finding ways to be awesome each day, and live with Christmas in your heart every day of the year, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and creepiness is not necessary…
