The sun sets on another day…
Sunset swung windingly across the wester sky like some wild rapscallion, and as it did the colors jumped across the horizon the world was right.
I like kids. Or should I say I like children? Or should I say I like offspring? Maybe tiny humans? The point is there’s a certain amount of innocence with children and as you see their point of view it is pure in its approach and a lot of fun.
I had the amazing opportunity to hang out with my grandchildren, and as I did I laughed and Google and was overcome with the sense of pride and just how terrific children can be. I find myself doing that a lot when I’m around them. Somewhere in the midst of all that they do, all the mischievousness, all the good and crazy, they just make you feel good about yourself.
I watched my granddaughter pay attention to the world and look over at me and then her eyes I saw the playful craziness I saw in my daughter’s eyes years and years ago. It made me feel good, it made me feel better, it made me feel old.
I wondered if that look was in my eyes and if we pass the look down year by year, generation by generation, as we try to figure the world out and find our way. The one thing I am sure of is that my granddaughter and grandson will be loved deeply and will love deeply in the future.
How do you deal with children? Do you see the playfulness in their eyes and the fun that they have around you? Do you engage with them and let them teach you as you teach them? Do you find your way is filled with happiness when children are around?
It’s an interesting series of questions. I hope you find a fun path with it all.
So as the sun sets on another day, I enjoyed my time. That’s what life is all about, enjoying our time and finding the courage to continue always. I hope you are enjoying your time as well and that you find passion and excitement every day trauma no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and giggle a little…
