The sun sets on another day…
It was a dark and gloomy sunset as far as I could see, but I knew that high above the world was stunning and amazing, and full of light. Then I smiled, for even in the darkness, the world was stunning and amazing.
I was laughing to myself tonight about a very old episode of Monty Python’s Flying Circus. We all know that Forrest Gump told us about you never know what’s in a box of chocolates, but Monty Python gave us the amazing crunch frog and the spring surprise, which proved you never know what’s in a box of chocolates. If you don’t know, the crunchy frog had a real crunchy frog inside of the finest chocolate, and the spring surprise had an industrial spring that popped out of the delicate chocolate once somebody was eating it.
I laugh, but if you think about it the world is a spectacular place and sometimes those things that are spectacular have crazy surprises inside of them. No fair, right?
It is my strong opinion that we are capable of overcoming anything if we just look at the fact that there’s some good in the world and even a delicate chocolate surrounding something scary.
Let’s all take a moment and embrace the world with lots of fun in mind, even if there’s a possibility of a frog in our future.
So as the sun sets on another day, I’m feeling pretty good about life because I know that I’ve already had my crunchy frog and probably my spring surprise, and I’m looking forward to something a little more fun, hopefully it will be something that we can all laugh about later as we make the world a better place, no matter what.
