The sun sets on another day…
It was a stunning cloudy sunset. That is to say that the clouds were high in the sky, and there was still a little color out there. That color that does not scream, but trumpets. I smiled as the sky slowly faded to night.
I took my grandkids to get cookies today. Yes, it is a grandpa thing, and yes, it was fun. We walked into the store that was filled with smells and after reading an entire menu it was settled. Two chocolate chip cookies. (None for me thanks)
I though about that as I watched little ones giddy with anticipation. They had choices, lots of choices, but we had 2 chocolate chip cookies coming. A short time later the cookies arrived. They were the size of a small basketball, but still, just chocolate chip cookies. The effect was as expected. Smiles, laughs and excitement, just from a cookie. It was wonderful.
