The sun sets on another day…
How can you not enjoy the beauty of each and every day. I found myself today enjoying the sky but beside me was a rose bush ready to explode. As the sun set I thought of all the pinks and Reds and oranges in the sky and how they would soon be all over my trellis.
No matter where you go, there you are. The only thing that you can be sure of in your picture is you. The only thing you can fully control in life is you. The only true thing you can give to someone else is yourself. Everything else might just be transient.
Why then do so many people adapt to others instead of enjoying who they are? You are special. You are enough. You are more than enough. You should take the time and try to enjoy that time and in the process perhaps learn more about who you are.
A long time ago I was told by a mentor that in the end we are all equal. I didn’t really believe it at the time, five years and miles have shown me that it’s very true. No matter your status, no matter the money or power that you have, in the end you are you and if you give that away to anyone and lose yourself, it will be nothing but misery.
I have a friend who is devastated by not being who they are. They try, they try to adapt, but in the end they never present themselves. What type of life is that? What type of life puts you in that position?
Find yourself and be yourself and don’t be anything else for anyone else, unless you’re a real jerk, then maybe it’s time to change.
I will giggle here for a moment.
So as the sun sets on another day, I hope you’re giggling with me. I hope you are always you and I hope no one ever tries to take that away from you. Keep finding your awesomeness, and be as happy as you can no matter what.
