The sun sets on another day…
I was giggling and running around with the puppy as the sun was setting and as she took a drink out of the sprinkler by putting her face around the entire thing I saw a brief rainbow in the Mist and looked up at the sky and be held beauty.
I think it’s funny how so many songs are about love and getting together with people and breaking up with people and just generally feeling the most that you can feel in relationships. I suppose it’s no surprise that there’s not a song or at least not very many songs about a red brick building but I do know that there’s a song about 30,000 pounds of Bananas.
Somewhere in the midst of it all I think that those strong emotions that we feel allow us to feel deeply and in doing so they Inspire us to do more. It is with that in mind that I can only say that love songs are pretty cool and break up songs are pretty cool too.
Where are the relationship songs though? Do you know any that sing about the wondrous nature of two people being together for a long long time. I know there are a few including a few written by Gary Samples who is a fun composer and has fun playing with it all. But where are those really intense songs that outline the trials and tribulations of everything that we’ve been through and then suddenly take us somewhere else. I guess I’m thinking of something like don’t give up on me, a nice little country ballad that will make you cry if you listen to it. Don’t we need more?
I kind of think we do, so why not listen and learn and get involved with a couple of more things and hopefully we’ll all have a little fun listening to your song because you have the power to change it all.
So as the sun sets on another day, it’s just another Silly Love Song but there’s nothing wrong with that. Keep enjoying the moments and laughing hard whenever you can, no matter what.
