The sun sets on another day…
I found myself poorly in the clouds. The light Sirius Wisps in the sky lit up with pinks, oranges, and reds and then Darkness though. The moon with the clouds a little, but the sunset would be hard to outdo.
I saw a GMC Jimmy recently. When I saw it it brought back memories of my grandfather’s Jimmy. The truck was ancient and pretty hefty and looked like a giant block. There was rest on it everywhere and my grandfather would go back in the woods, knock down a tree, and then drag it out into the light where we would process it.
He only took trees that either had fallen or that it died and were ready to fall and in doing so, the other trees grew stronger.
One year when I came up, the Jimmy was a little different. My grandpa had pop riveted all the rest away after cutting it out, reshaped the truck, then painted it with a mop. The resulting paint job wasn’t the prettiest in the world, but it looked better than it did. Mostly, it kept things from being a mess, and stopped the rust from taking more.
It was a good truck.
I wonder where that truck is now. And if that mop protected it the way that it should have.
So as the sun sets on another day, it’s possible to refresh things in cleaning them up. It makes the world go around to make things better like that. I hope you find ways to make your older issues look better and keep on working, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and enjoy it all…
