The sun sets on another day…
It was a brilliant sunset with colorful creations covering the western sky. It was almost as though the colors were woven together and made into a tapestry of visual delight. That means I liked it.
I was talking to someone about how secrets got out of hand and people are controlled, one way or another. They spoke of controlling the narrative and keeping things in check and the idea that there is control in the world. I think I left out loud, I may not have, but I found myself giggling at the entire idea simply because there was no way that such control was possible.
We often feel that we are in control of things. Sometimes we think we’re in control of our children, that’s quite a problem we sometimes think we’re in control of our job, nope. We think we’re in control of ourselves, eat 10 White Castles in a night and tell me about your control. I could have said Taco Bell. The reality is tacos are addictive, White Castles can be eaten over and over and you still want more, and the world is an illusion.
Now I have to say here that the world is an innocent illusion. It’s not like people go out with the idea that they are going to take over, or that there in charge of everything. Of course there are some people that are like that. Most people are of a mind that they just want to get through day by day and they want to feel like they are in control. It can be a little silly.
We have to accept somewhere that the idea of control is an absolute illusion. The idea of control as far less than what we expect. Maybe we need to say, there is no control maybe we need to understand but that innocent illusion is still an illusion.
