The sun sets on another day…
The clouds closed in and there was gray across the horizon, still, high above, there was a beautiful sunset.
I think this starts out as “La La La La” but I’m not 100% sure. I enjoy music but I am more drawn to melodies than words and often find that creating my own words as I sing is a lot more fun. The simple joy of slaughtering the song shouldn’t be overlooked and I slaughtered them pretty well.
Of course I’m not the only one. Weird Al Has taken some amazing songs and turned them into even more amazing parodies. If only I had that talent as well and people went “wow” when I’m thinking about general silliness. It’s an amazing bit of amazing.
In the movie “27 Dresses” I got a kick out of the slight modification of the words and realized that I slaughtered them even more. It was a good to see someone on the silver screen who wasn’t necessarily trying to be perfect. That seems to be the norm now, the awkward engagement.
I guess if you don’t know the words, sing it loud anyway. Sing with all your heart and get lost in the melody even if the words float around strangeness. After all I saying many of Seal’s songs with the wrong words and believed it for a long long time.
So as the sun sets on another day, I hope you’re singing now. I hope you have a bit of strangeness running around in your head. Mostly I hope that you are singing a song, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and don’t worry if it’s not good enough…
