The sun sets on another day…
The sky grew dark early, as dark as night, and the clouds that rolled in foretold of a change in the weather, literally. Temperatures dropped and rose in moments, and the sunset, well, it was up there, waiting to be discovered.
I like unexpected visitors, sometimes. Tonight, as I spoke with my classmates from high school a new visitor roles in and a storm rumbled in the background. The skies split open and rain pounded down across the horizon. It was dark as night, but I smiled as I watched the skies, and darkness gave way to some peace.
You know, sometimes a heavy storm can be more than a little over the top, but that same storm may open a path to something better, or at least something different. As I enjoyed talking to the crew from school I thought about all the trials and tribulations we went through to get where we are, and how different life could have been without the storms.
For me, the storms seemed to give me more possibilities than the lulls.
How about for you? Do you press the storm? Even the perfect storm? Or do you stay safe and let others lay the foundations? Do you go further, or do you take a step back and live through others? Take the time and put down your phone, walk away from your computer, and breathe in the life that is out there. I think it’s pretty cool, maybe you will too.
So as the sun sets on another day, live a little dream, make the world yours, and never give up on life. As Crichton said, life finds a way. Find your way, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and what a storm…
