The sun sets on another day…
It was another beautiful sunset with puffy clouds that bounced light like a unique pinball machine waiting to flash moment after moment. I enjoyed the beauty and the peace as it faded away.
When my father died a pastor gave a sermon and spoke about the interaction between he and my father and the statement that worship wasn’t in a church but instead was in the street. This idea, which is very valid, applies to far more than worship.
People are always looking for ways to document how things get done and how they do them. Sometimes that documentation is very valid, but sometimes it just touches the surface because the truth is a far wider concept.
This week I have been working with a lot of numbers and a great deal of concepts and ideas. It would be easy to make it easy and just show which parts are done, but to do it right you have to be in the middle of it and realize that the rules don’t always apply and sometimes the solution is in the process itself. Sometimes new solutions are born out of what is before you.
This may seem rather convoluted today, and I think this is the first time I have ever used the word worship on 29,000 sunsets. My point is that sometimes you have to know when to adapt and not just watch things happen. Sometimes you have to go that little extra step and make changes to what somebody else thinks is right in order to make it right for you.
Find your way, because that’s the best way to go.
So as the sun sets on another day, I hope your day is free from everything, or at least was. I hope tomorrow is even better. Mostly I hope that you find the way that works for you and don’t just take everyone else’s word for it, unless it’s putting shampoo in your eyes, that hurts a lot. Enjoy your days and make them yours, it may be just a street, but it’s where you live. Live strong, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and it’s in the street…
