The sun sets on another day…
It was bitter cold and the wind tore through me. I watched the sky looking for the sunset only to see gray skies again. Still, my heart was full, because high above the sky was beautiful and even where I was there was beauty everywhere.
Every day we have an opportunity to rise up and be more. The question is what do we rise up for and how do we make a difference, not only for the world, but for ourselves, without becoming part of the growing voice of negativity and useless violence. I watched the world pretty closely sometimes and I feel bad for many of the things going on but it might surprise you to know that it’s hard to take a side when every side is flawed.
That being said I respect everyone’s opinion within reason. I would like to thank that I keep an open mind on most things. Of course there are those things that I’m nearly intractable, but most of my beliefs have a certain amount of wiggle room and perhaps a little more. Rising up is something I need to do, I just have to decide the approach I want to take.
Do you feel as though you were on the right side? Do you feel that your position can be questioned without anger becoming part of the response? Are there any things that you have no room to question? This is the biggest question I have.
So as the sun sets on another day, I hope you rise up and find a way to express yourself in a positive manner. Right or wrong you have still made a difference to yourself and even though one day we may look back and see the world a different way, at least you made a difference. Keep finding your way, no matter what.
