The sun sets on another day
It was a beautiful sunset and as the sky sparkled with molten color I smiled for a moment and thought and maybe thought a little bit more.
I’m a big fan of Rudyard Kipling and a lot of the things that he writes. Although his stories seem simple sometimes they are actually complex statements about everything from politics to human interaction. I am always impressed.
A few years ago I wrote about Ricky Tikki-Tavi indirectly and his interactions with Nagina, and yes that probably is spelled wrong. As the cobra is ready to strike and hurt the boy potentially killing him, the mongoose asks the question, what price a cobra’s egg?
There is a uniqueness in the approach and it is even more unique when you think about the actuality that there was something more important than revenge, something more important than anything else and that’s something was the egg. We all have that something.
What is that something that is so special to you that you would stop what you were doing and concede for that item? How do you find that something if you don’t know what it is? Do you know what you’re something is and how fantastic it is that you have it?
Yes, it’s an interesting question, but the reality of it all is that sometimes there is something that has a special price to us all.
So as the sun sets on another day, I hope you have that special something that is worth any price. I hope that each day you live Hard and continue to make a difference in your life always. I hope that that special something, whatever or whoever it is, makes your world complete every day, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and yes it is precious…
