The sun sets on another day…
It was a beautiful sunset once again, you won’t hear me talk poorly about very many. The pink in the sky reminded me of cotton candy upon puffy clouds waiting to be picked and put in a bag for us all to share. It was quite beautiful and I laughed as I watched the western sky.
It’s time to remind us all once again the purpose of 29000 sunsets. If you knew that you only had 29 000 sunsets to live in your life, and tomorrow was the 29000th day. What are you going to do different, why aren’t you doing it now?
It seems like an easy statement and everybody comes up with an excuse. Don’t feel bad if you say something about waiting till tomorrow or I’m too busy right now or anything even remotely like that. Lots of people do. The reality is most people don’t think about today being their last day. Most people don’t understand how finite time is.
Let me tell you with utmost certainty that 20 minutes from now could be my last moment or your last moment or someone else’s last moment. There is no way to tell. There is no way to easily know. Of course you could also have another 70 or 80 years.
The point of 29,000 sunsets is to realize that each day is precious. Set aside your regrets, set aside your excuses, and instead make today your day. Make today the best day that it can possibly be.
I know it’s hard. I have the same problem from time to time. Somewhere inside I decide to write everyday and I decide to achieve and do more always. It’s not necessarily a struggle. It’s just a way of life.
So as the sun sets on another day, I hope your day is spectacular and that you found something to do that makes you appreciate how great of a day today is. You have the ability to make every day a wondrous day. Make your days fantastic, no matter what.
