The sun sets on another day…
Fire and excitement were all over the sky as more and more I found myself lost in the colors. The reds weren’t soft, they were bright and bold. The world seemed like it was on fire.
I find myself thinking about the idea of plurality. There are lots of definitions that apply to elections and to people but I am curious about the idea of multiple personalities living inside of the same mind. This idea is both fascinating and frightening from a point of view of how do you know who is who and what is what and is there a finite amount of information or an infinite amount of information capable of being stored in the human mind.
Now I realize 29,000 sunsets is a strange place to even think about this, and I even further realize that each day has the possibility of being a challenge in more ways than one, but as I wander in my mind I find that the idea of two minds coexisting in the same place is just cool.
For me it is reminiscent of the old Guardians of the Galaxy before the movie where Starhawk was actually a combination of two people fused into a single being by Cosmic forces. The strength of will of each allowed them to take control of the body and gave them Limitless power. It was a fun idea and this was a long time ago where I was introduced to this concept.
In today’s world, many people don’t necessarily understand the possibilities of dealing with complex ideas like this one. I found it enlightening as yet another possibility in a series of possibilities as each day goes forward.
No, I do not have multiple personalities but I can see how escaping trauma or escaping other things could lead people into that situation. And because I can acknowledge it, I understand at least a little.
