The sun sets on another day…
A storm ran through quickly and then there was beauty again. It amazes me how quickly we go from sun to storm in some areas of the world. I found myself staring at the sunset and getting lost in the beauty while wondering what the lightning was doing in the east.
Some things just fit together. They may not seem like they fit together or it may be slightly different when they fit together, but they fit together nonetheless. I found it funny that the Jetsons had the two biggest competitors being sprockets and cogs. Obviously they’re almost restatements of the same thing but they’re simplistic in a world of flying cars and utter craziness.
With people we are often either 100% compatible or sometimes a little off or sometimes way way off. We usually know this very rapidly as we engage and deal with the day-to-day of everything we do. I find myself often wondering about people and as I do I consider why I do or do not mesh perfectly and then think about the reasons and potential solutions.
Sometimes we just don’t have a choice but we have to live through it and love through it. Sometimes our gears grind and sometimes they’re smooth as silk.
For me, I prefer the smooth as silk. I would love a world where we just got along and didn’t have any sprockets or cogs that didn’t fit. Wouldn’t that be amazing?
