The sun sets on another day…
It was a stunning sunset. Made complete by puffy little clouds that made me think of all the other sunsets I’ve experienced. It can be said that no two sunsets are alike and I am glad for this because of the beauty they share.
It’s always interesting how communities are built. We often take for granted the communities we are a part of and sometimes we get lost in all of the moments that make up our helpers in the world.
That’s a good statement, helpers. A community is about people help each other through the times where things are good and always when things are not so good.
There was a time long ago that I struggled during a conflict in my life. It forced me into situations that I was not excited about. While I struggled I didn’t ask for help, and during this time I was forced into a situation that could have been far more difficult for me.
What I learned after that difficult situation is there is no shame asking for help. There is no shame setting things aside. There is no shame in being that person who needs a little help in a lot of different ways as long as you return that help to the community later.
Because of a fantastic individual I found myself saved from certain destruction, and as I engaged and continue to engage I found myself changing the world, one moment at a time. I tried many times to pay this person back and it makes me feel good knowing that I helped them as they helped me.
Are you too proud to ask for help? Do you ever find yourself in that position where you should but you don’t necessarily ask for the help you need? Reach out to your community, they will help you.
So as the sun sets on another day, keep being fantastic constantly. Build communities and make a difference, and as you go through this thing called life, be a person that others can count on, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and thanks to everyone…
