The sun sets on another day…
The clear skies gave way to, more clear skies. I know that’s a surprise but it was fun. As the sun began to set the sky was full of life and I enjoyed every moment of it. A seagull flew by as I tried to capture the sunset and I wondered if seagulls ever took the time to enjoy the beauty.
Sometimes the question of whether you can do something or not isn’t necessarily what you should be asking. It’s very probable that you can, it’s also very probable you can succeed at most of the things you put your mind to. Sometimes the question has to be should you?
In the Michael Crichton book Jurassic Park, the question wasn’t whether the science was there it was weather we should be doing what we’re doing. He wrote several books that were cautionary tales that address the power of man and how we should look at the world.
We all have the power to be the best that we can be, not meaning to steal a line from any institution, but we can be better and best if we just want to be. Some people know this but others struggle with the concept or idea and in doing so they may imperil themselves. It’s something we have to consider, it’s something we want to make better and best.
This entire line of statements is probably wrong, after all when is power something that can imperil us? Perhaps that answer is every day. Perhaps that answer is something that you should consider if you have power, and almost everyone does in one way or another.
If you have power, use it wisely. Try to be aware of who you are and how you should be. If you don’t, be mindful of the people around you. If your power is more infinite or more subtle it doesn’t matter. You need to consider that you have an effect on everyone around you. Make it a positive one everyday.
So as the sun sets on another day, I hope you know how special you are. I hope you know that there is a way to be all the time. Mostly, I hope you know that you are amazing and you can use your power for good always, no matter what.
