The sun sets on another day…
I watched the sky slide past as the wind seemed to drive the colors even quicker. It was cool, but not cold, and the world seemed a little cleared for the feel of it all as twilight fell upon us all.
A poem for today just becaus eI have not done one for a while:
The Sway
The sky above is full of swirls and pieces of the night
I find myself just staring up, and lost inside its might
When trees fall down or to and fro they find a steady way
I find the sky can make me feel, and make me stand and sway
For ever more and nevermore the wind it comes and goes
and stone and sand and the hand of man are beaten by its throws
The wind is wild and holds us all in steady grip today
but here I stand in darkest night, watching it all sway
and when it comes that I am gone and never here at all
I hope you listen to the wind and find its steady call
For moments lost and sights unseen and time you skip your play
Will surely hold us all in check, I hope that you will sway
So as the sun sets on another day, keep being you, and in the process, find some time to enjoy the wind in your face, the spray across the hull, and touch the water as you skim the sea of life. Be the one tacking in the wind, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and sway…
