The sun sets on another day…
It was a beautiful sunset again. Akin to spring, but not there yet, the sun shone brightly and made the sky look pure and powerful, unhindered by the clouds that have hidden it for so long. It felt good to see it again.
As I thought about it and then started a meal in complete darkness I considered all the senses we rely on so heavily each day. Sight gives us wonderful sunsets, or is it the warmth on our skins as the light makes us feel with our sense of touch, dancing atop our skin. We cannot hear the sunset, but we can hear the multitude of animals that change their song as night approaches. We cannot smell the sunset, but we can smell the cool breeze at it slides across the plains or ocean or lake, making the eve feel fresh.
Perhaps I was wrong, perhaps sunset is all of the senses working as one. Perhaps sunset gives us a new beginning, and allows us all to reset each of our senses and make them feel complete. (Or maybe it is just sight and I am not seeing ti right)
So as the sun sets on another day, experience all that your senses have to offer. Feel it all and a little more, taste and touch and smell, it is all there if you just are patient enough to look for it. Become a part, and enjoy your moments each day, no matter what.
