The sun sets on another day…
As the sun set I raced to take a picture, only to see it fade to a splinter in the distance, but it was not in vain, as the sunset was still in my mind, waiting to become more and the colors were unreal as I watched the sliver fade away.
I really think it is telling in life how much a splinter can affect us. The effects of even a small item can be far reaching, and make us feel far more, and impact us in a variety of ways.
Take a splinter. It could be a fraction of a fraction of a size, and yet we feel it as though it is running us over. So then if a breeze blows on our arms, the hairs raise in anticipation of the caress of the breeze, and the minimal touch of the wind can take our breath away.
My point is, don’t discount anything small as it could be a big deal. It could be that thing that makes a difference in our life beyond all others, and it is just small. A simple word or a series of words can change our life forever, and a small interaction can become the stuff that dreams are made of. Pay attention to the moments, pay attention to good and bad, and pay attention to the little things that matter, and set aside those that don’t. After all, we don’t want to sweat the petty things but we don’t want to miss a spark that could become a flame either.
Sleep sweet, love life, and live it!
