The sun sets on another day…
I watched the water today. It was beautiful in the sun, green and teal hues until the horizon then a deep indigo blue as the water dropped to far depths. As I looked at the depths far out from the beach I wondered about the depth of the lake, and looked it up only to find it is quite deep, far deeper than most would imagine.
We never know when the drop off is in life. Because hopefully we are staying on the surface. If we run on the surface all the time, the depths below never matter. It is like riding a bike for the first time, we know the training wheels are there and it is good, and when they come off, we don’t notice because we just keep pedaling. I would like to think that if we just keep swimming, or pedaling, or moving forward that the world will get better and better for us, because no matter what the depth, we are sailing smoothly on the surface.
So as the sun sets on another day, who cares how deep the water is below you unless you sink. Who cares how you are riding your bike unless you stop, and we should always just keep moving forward, and staying above water as much as we can, that way life won’t swallow us. If you think I was too cryptic today, sorry, I just am trying to make a point without spelling it out. Be true, stay on top of the water, and enjoy the moments, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, training wheels?, and love life with all you are…
