The sun sets on another day…
I was at an event for a while today talking to people and enjoying the moments I could. I met a lot of nice people, and listened to people talk about life, their lives, and the myriad of things they face and faced. I find listening opens the mind, the heart and even the soul Tonight as I sat down to write I read an article posted by one of the people I talked to today. It was riveting and revealing. I read it and was amazed at the truth of it all, and the power it revealed. You can find it here. So I thought. What did I think about? Not the power of failure or defeat, but the measure of success.
Each day we set ourselves up with goals to succeed or fail, and each day we either meet those goals or do not meet those goals. In doing so we create our own positive or negative moments, and in fact set our positive or negative days. Hopefully positive, but there are lots of possibilities there, and lots of things to consider.
What are our measures of success? Are they set by someone else? Work or friends or not friends? Or do you set your own measure of success and determine each day how it should be viewed? There is a lot to consider in who sets your success. A lot to consider if someone besides you sets that success measure. consider it, review it, and make your measure of success the measure that works for you all the time.
So as the sun sets on another day, this is not enough success talk! We need a super success round table with success rolling around everywhere. You set your success, and in the process you set a success that works for you not only today, but every day. Set it the way you need to, and make sure you can meet it with a little work all the time, those little successes will add up and make your goals and successes bigger until success is a part of your day every day. Be that person who succeeds even when the goals are high, and then help others succeed too! It feels good and you should be feeling it, no matter what.
