The sun sets on another day…
Sunset was, well, tough to see. The colors were amazing but as I sat in a killer concert the pillars of the venue blocked it out. Still, I enjoyed every moment shifting between the music and the color of night.
As I listened to a concert tonight a member of the band started a monologue that hit close to home. He stated that every day he has had so far is a gift, and that many people don’t seem to fathom that. He went further to state that as he looked at his genetics he should have quite a few years left, but added “but in the end I could go in 15 minutes” and that we all should “live every moment like it was our last”.
I smiled for a moment.
The premise of 29000sunsets has always been, what if you only had 29000sunsets? How would you live your life knowing? What would you do different if it was day 28999? Anything?
I know I will work to the very end moment of my life, but I will play too. Are we doing what we should to be happy? Is happiness or enjoying life a factor in our life? If so, why? If not, why?
It can be complex, based on how we were brought up and a dozen dozen other things, In the end, the simplest question I already asked. If today was the last one, would you do anything different? Why aren’t you doing it now?
Think about it.
So as the sun sets on another day, think about all the good things we can all do in life. Think about the good times, and the bad. All the lessons you have learned, make every day the best day you can make it because you may have dozens of years, but there is always that 15 minutes. Make today your day, make now your moment, and enjoy it all you can, no matter what.
