The sun sets on another day…
I sit here looking at Blue Skies for as far as I can see and maybe a little farther. There is no doubt the sky is clean crisp the day feels amazing. I try to determine the color only to see it is bluer than blue, and truer than true blue.
After a storm the air always tastes a little better. Maybe I need to revise that: the air tastes a little better if you pay attention to how the air tastes. This is one of those things a lot of people ignore but shouldn’t. There are little things every day that align us with the world our senses open those doors.
I once worked in a location next to a gigantic landfill. There was constantly a smell somewhere between rancid and really bad. So when it rained and the air was cool it was a pleasant diversion. The smell of the crisp air would be there for a moment as I came out of work and make the day a little better. I paid attention a lot how rank things were while I was working that job.
Do you pay attention to the little things in life? The smell of the air? The sound of silence? The fresh taste of good food? The feel of cashmere? All of these things might make your day better if you just pay attention. If they do, isn’t it worth it?
So as the sun sets on another day pay attention to the little things. Feel your senses. They mean a lot more than you think. Pay attention to all the moments out there and in the end enjoy every one of your moments that you can, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and what’s that smell…
