The sun sets on another day…
If you haven’t been paying attention there is a book festival going on right now . It’s a virtual book festival hosted by Pages Promotions and the books or being read by the authors without the covers or titles. The actual festival is a lot of fun and I’ve had fun in this few days so far being a little silly and trying to make people laugh.
Tonight’s special bit of fun was about horror. Personally, I’m a huge anti fan. I absolutely love horror but have read so much and seeing so many movies that I have become desensitized to it so as I watch it or read it, it is not so much for the horror as for trying to enjoy something new and exciting or a remarkable new twist. The problem is simple, there aren’t a lot of new twists. I will say that the indie horror readers tonight were very interesting and one of them I have his book and it has been a unique read.
Have you ever come up with something that you are an anti fan? Something that you really like but don’t expect to as much as you used to? Is there a point where things just become fun and don’t necessarily give the expected result? Do you groan at comedy or laugh at horror? Think about it , I did tonight as I enjoyed the readers.
So as the sun sets on another day, take a moment and read a book. Better yet read an indie book and enjoy the marvelous world of your imagination, no matter what.
