Why miss another?

Mirrors and reflections…

The sun sets on another day…

Sunset was spectacular, but after the sun set was filled with hues of violet, purple, and deep crimson. It was an outstanding sight.

I am always fascinated by reflections. We always think of looking at ourselves in a mirror as a true representation of ourselves, but we have to remember, it is reversed exactly. We also see ourselves differently than how the world sees us. That is hard to believe. After all, we are looking at the same thing, aren’t we?

I would like to think there is more to the world than just what we see. I would like to think that people see beyond the surface, and the visage we project, and perhaps see a little deeper into who we are as a whole. Perhaps we are all reflections of who we want to be, waiting to be seen by better eyes. Or, perhaps we are hidden reflections, light and darkness of who we have grown to be.

No matter how you slice it, we do not always see ourselves as other see us, we see a reflection much deeper, with much more vision than the world can see. Perhaps it is time to let that go and realize we are all that we see, and all that everyone else sees locked into one person. Perhaps we need to see that the reflection we see is not right, but neither is the one others see. We are all of those things and more.

So as the sun sets on another day, see yourself as the best person you can be. Be a little more than who you thought you were, and realize that others see you in a different way, and respect that as well. Be the best vision of yourself each day, no matter what.

Sleep sweet, love deeply, and be who you are…
