The sun sets on another day…
It is always awe inspiring when you look at the evening sky and imagine how many sunsets have come before, and how many are yet to come. In the grand scope of it all our age is very very small compared to the planet, the sun, and even our civilization. (Though we are very young)
As I sat for a moment today considering the wind and the waves I imagined all the people who had stood on that beach before, hundreds of thousands of sunsets shared with people across the centuries. Thousands of memories inspired, and thousand of poems, stories, and feelings brought forth by the melodic maelstrom of colors the sunset brings to us.
For a moment I was in awe, then I considered all those who were watching the sunset with me, not just where I was, but all over the world, and the feelings they had as the light danced across the skies. I knew there would be those people sharing the moment with me, and those who were oblivious, but I was at peace. It is my hope that obliviousness (cool word huh?) will fade and we will appreciate the future, the sunset, and the beauty of the world, no matter what.
So as the sun sets on another day, if you are one of the thousands that occasionally look at this small part of the internet know that we were watching the sunset together, or sharing a picture, or a moment, or a thought, and smile for a few minutes, and maybe laugh too.
Sleep sweet, love life, and be happy, it is worth it…
