The sun sets on another day…
I remember when I was a child in the fall in Indiana gong to the maple tree farms and seeing how maple syrup was collected, boiled down, and made into a sugary sweet treat as either candy, sugar, or a topping for breakfast. It was always crisp and cool outside, and always a treat on a those chilly days. The times in my life were bittersweet, but the moments like this amazing and a way to focus on the truly good things in life.
As we walk through another day take a moment and consider a positive childhood memory. Consider the feel of the air, the taste of something sweet, the sounds that made you happy, the smell of excitement. Now hold onto that moment and make it a part of today and every day.
It is easy for many to remember the bad, but let’s remember the good of our past and take the feelings forward, making them part of an even better moment for now, tomorrow and beyond.
So as the sun sets on another day, consider the happiest times in your life, commit them to the forefront of your memory. Don’t focus on the bad, and instead believe in the good, the positive, the powerful and in the process build a happier day from a happy day, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love candy, and enjoy life every day, to the moon and back, and the stars beyond…
