The sun sets on another day…
Sunset was quiet, restful, and full of shades of violet, orange, and red. It was quite nice, and even better than I could have asked for.
I know many people who would have started this post with “You know you have had a bad day when”:
– Your day starts at 3:55 AM
– Your flight Is full and your seat is too small for you
– They give you a sheet of paper saying you need it or will be in tons of trouble, then never take it
– TSA is brutal
– Almost miss a flight
– Lose a credit card
– and more more more…. argggghhhh
You know what? Sure, it can be a bad day. Yep, those few seconds can make your day the worst ever. It is not. Maybe it is how you respond to it? Do you get angry? feel the negativity? feel hopeless? lash out at people who care? cry? sulk? give up?
Nope.
Maybe it is not always possible, but you can take a deep breath, step back, and find your way. All this without just heading over and making the world a little worse. You are better than that. You have the ability to step up, step over, and make the world yours. If you let everything get to you, it will just take you down further. If you embrace the bad, well, who wins?
Hmm, sounds very fortune cookie “ish”. How about we just enjoy the moments as we can, and in the process, make the world the place it should be for us. One step at a time.
So as the sun sets on another day, when life gives you lemons? Why? I mean you could open a stand and sell lemonade, or you could just go on and not worry about the lemons. Worry about important things, like someone giving you anything. Like interacting and being a part. In the end, maybe it is not a worry at all. Maybe it is just something new and awesome. Maybe it was all a bad time, maybe it was a fun ride with a few bumps. It is all in how you want to build it, and do you really want a bad day? I hope not. Make your day good each and every day, and have some fun, no matter what.
