The sun sets on another day…
I watched sunset from afar, but if you think about it, distance is nothing and about the same wherever we are. I laughed at the realization that it was good, better, and best, well, mostly.
I love talking to people because people inspire me in one way or another. Today I sat talking to a gentleman who has so much going for him and he doesn’t necessarily see it. I smiled and tried to listen and occasionally I talked too much. I should shut up and listen more.
As with most of us, he has had a difficult time facing many challenges. I listened and learned that those that he trusted had often betrayed him. Those that he felt comfortable with had created discomfort. He has faced a great deal and more, but he said he was OK.
You know sometimes when things are at their darkest it’s time to turn on the light. Sometimes we just need to let go of what we think is important and hold on to what’s really important. In his case I think he is on his way and his wife was very supportive and believed in him. The possibilities are endless and I hope some day he feels better about all he’s done.
I hope you find that way as well. Don’t let other people drag you down, and if they do, maybe it’s time to let them go. Life is too short, time too precious, to take the chance of losing more. Find a way to make your life better than it ever was before and let the negatives go.
So as the sun sets on another day, it was a beautiful day. As I watched the sky and listened to the breeze flowing through the trees I was thankful for one more day. Be thankful for your days and find a way to make them the best that you can have, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and keep living…
