Hallmark Holiday Blues…

The sun sets on another day…

This icy photo was taken in Michigan City Indiana at the park and the reflection was amazing.

Welcome to the Hallmark Holiday Blues.

Today is Valentines day. If you were fortunate enough to be born on valentines day you have the amazing privilege of enjoying just about every February 14th with more candy than you know what to do with and most people thinking you are related to Cupid, Eros, or someone who is full of love each moment of the day. If you had an Anniversary on this date you are happy each year the day comes around because it will forever be special to you in many ways.

There are of course the not so good sides to this, like divorce on the same day, or married on the day and then divorce, etc etc etc until you want to fill a small ocean with tears, fears or sorrow. Let’;s pass on that.

Why? Easy! Today as the sun sets in the west after rising in the east it is time to let go of the holiday blues and remember there are people who care out in the world, and there is never a reason to despair. Let me repeat, there is no reason to despair. Close you eyes, think of the person you care about most in the world, and who cares about you, then pick up the phone and call them. You may only to just say “Hi”, but take that time to leave stuff behind. In that moment release the pain, suffering and overall silliness of the moment that Hallmark has created, and instead reconnect, connect, or just pass a moment with someone who cares. It is worth it!

Let’s take a second and enjoy the moment, laugh at the storm, love life, and live every day for the best sunset we can have, to the moon and back and the stars beyond…
