The sun sets on another day…
I had a lot of ideas on what to write about today. People trying to bring you down, people trying to bring you up, people being plain rude, people being rudely plain, and so forth. It is sometimes an interesting trip to decide which item has the most thoughts swirling around and trying to make sure someone out there smiles, laughs, or gets a little insight. Some people just have one light always out and can’t see all the lit ones next to it so I try to light all the bulbs. (See picture) I digress. (Well, trying to be cute, hope I succeeded)
So today, as the sun sets on us all and we go to drug stores and candy stores and are overwhelmed by the number of candy hearts that were left behind, lets consider what we can do to make the day better. An unloved candy heart does not mean the day is lost, what it does mean is that the day is bright and new and someone is actually sticking to their diet after over a month since new years, and someone else remembered and didn’t buy them candy this year. (Even though it tastes really really good)
We could remember that not everyone had a terrific Valentines Day and some people may have actually been sad, but it is our time on Presidents day to take the “presidents” of mind (See what I did there) and try to cheer those people up. Don’t despair, instead remember that next Valentines Day may be an amazing day, and maybe next year people will listen when I say “Cmon guys, pick up the phone and spark some of this stuff” instead of sitting around on Valentines Day and eating pistachio ice cream until they are ready to explode.
So as the sun sets on another day, pay attention to the colors, be at peace with yourself and those around you, and find love and passion in everything you do to make others days awesome too, so you too can be colorful. Sleep sweet, love life, and live every day like tomorrow may never get here, and in the process find a way to happiness…
