The sun sets on another day…
Being stuck in the car for 18 hours gives you a lot of time to listen. I listened a lot, heard a lot, and in the process heard a song from Tim McGraw, “Humble and Kind”. I was interested in everything being said and one section hit home pretty hard.
In the song it was sung as :
“..Don’t take for granted the love this life gives you, When you get where you’re going don’t forget turn back around, and help the next one in line..”
Now this song had a lot of great things going on, but I have had a few conversations recently about love and helping people and although the two were unrelated, perhaps they were related as well.
So when you are given love, do you take it for granted? Or hold on to it and want to never let go? I don’t have all the answers, but it would be nice to know that there are some people that understand love, and put it above many other things. Love should be the center of who we are, at least in my opinion.
Independent but dependent on that topic, shouldn’t we always be helping people up? Today as I drove through very snowy and icy streets an extreme number of cars were in the ditch. As I passed I saw alll those people stopped to help, and would have stopped at each except for the crowds helping. Are you the one who stops? Shouldn’t we all be? I will stop and help anyone in need and I think everyone should consider that in spite of the potential risk, as it is better to live life with a slight risk, then give others a huge amount of risk out of fear. (My opinion)
Anyway, as the sun sets on another day, consider love as the pinnacle that needs help, and help people no matter what. The best situation with both, is to help people in love, and if they are in love with you, never betray them, and instead put out your hand and always lift them up.
Sleep sweet, love life, and love some more, it makes sense.
