The sun sets on another day…
Today’s sunset could almost be considered divine. Well, not really the sunset as much as the day. The day had predicted rain for some time. It seemed to be a doomed day for a big event that my friends were putting on. There was a lot of discussion about it, and it looked ominous as I arrived at 8. I was hopeful that something would happen that would make their special day as awesome as it should be, and hopeful for a good day for them.
As I set up microphones and watched the clouds, they parted, and believe it or not, there was no rain. As they played their percussion, no rain. As the Zumba class ran, no rain, and it followed like that with only 20 minutes of sprinkled for the whole day. As the day closed, the rain fell on us all, and there was a moment where a rainbow shone so bright in the sky I thought the pot of gold would have to be at the end.
As I considered this tonight, I felt the pot of gold had already been received. A good day where no good day should have been. Fun people, great laughs, a lot of good food, and of course a bunch of great candy.
There are few gifts like this that happen so purposefully, and I can only believe that something good was on our side today.
There are a lot of people out there that deserve days like this, the day that should be horrible, but finds it way to being amazing. As their days pass they forecast may be something bad, but somehow it finds its way to being great.Perhaps it is blind luck but perhaps it is the positive attitude that people feel that somehow makes a difference. I hope that for any of your days, if you think something bad is coming you can overcome it, and make your day the best day ever and more.
So as the sun sets on this amazing day, take a moment and realize, just because it looks bad, doesn’t mean it will be. It may be the best ever, and as you progress in life, remember that every day is a possible amazing day as long as you are in it.
Sleep sweet, laugh often, and be happy, no matter what…
