The sun sets on another day…
Debris.
I have always liked that word because just sounds cool. The sun does not leave debris, it burns everything to a crisp and nearly disintegrates all matter in contact with it.
We, on the other hand, are creatures of debris. We leave debris everywhere we go, we leave mounds of it in landfills, and mounds of it in people we have interacted with before. It is not a bad thing or a good thing, it is a fact, but we often make it bad or good. So we make the people who have been in our past, good or bad debris, or we make situations in our life good or bad debris, but the truth is we decide what is and is not debris, and as we do so, we create situations that make more debris for us, or clean it up.
It is my opinion we need to clean it up. In my past I have made a few messes, and it took me a long time to clean them up as best as I could. I still make mistakes, and I still work hard to clean them up when I can, and make the best out of every day and I suggest you do as well. Find those things in your life that are debris, laying around, and find a way to repair them. It is the only real way.
So as the sun sets on another day, it would be nice if we went through life and never hurt anyone or anything, left a clean area where we started and where we left, and solved more problems than we created. That is often not the real world. Just remember, it is on you to clean up that mess you made and make the world as debris free as you can. Make your life debris free, and enjoy the moments as you can, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love often, and laugh all night if you can…
