The sun sets on another day…
The sunset was breathtaking, but more than the sunset, the day was one that just could not get much better. Well, I am sure it will get better, but wow, this was a good day.
There is nothing more stunning than a sunrise, except a sunset, nothing better than a good day than maybe a good night and so it goes.
As I had a long talk with my son this eve that was more philosophical than most, I considered how definitive life is, and how so many people miss the point. No, I am not saying you are missing the point, but a lot of people just don’t seem to see there isn’t really a guarantee of anything but now. To put it in perspective….urrrrkrkkrkrk….
Well, it could be, that next message you type, the next sentence you speak, the flash of a light, all could be the last moment.
So here I sat talking to him and as I did I saw in my minds eye the moment in “Holy Man” when G cures a man of flying. (If you ever have time, watch the movie it is worth it for just that part). The hypnotized man faces the length and breadth of his own death, and the idea is planted that perhaps the gift of life is greater than any fear could ever be. It is a good thought.
So as the sun sets on this day, it is as good as it can be, and as good as we let it be, and in the process we should take our day and make it great. Only we have the power to make our life great, and we really need to do so, no matter what.
Sleep sweet, love life, and live it every day…
