The sun sets on another day…

It seems only a short time ago that I sat alone on the beach, or Gary and I on the beach, looking off at the sunset or something of interest. Now it has changed. With the new weather now there are dozens of cars lined up, and dozens of people watching the sun set on the horizon, snapping pictures with their smartphones, trying to hold on to the moments. Tonight people were in the sand and the beach, or cuddled in the back of trucks with the bed down, watching the spectacle in front of us.

I stood as always, taking a few pictures, and watching and enjoying the evening and tonight thinking about all the priceless things in life. I thought of the sunset and tonight’s partial cloud driven projection, and the myriad of colors across the sky as it slowly set in the west. I thought of people who pass in and out of my life, and the important parts they played and play. I thought of the words “no matter what” and how I try each day to make them more than a hollow statement to honor those people who need to find happiness, no matter what. I thought of the people who have passed, and the sadness we could feel, but the happiness I feel knowing their were in my life if only for a short time.

There are so many things in life that are priceless, which one will you choose? Will you be the person to choose a path and burn all the bridges behind you? Or will you be that person to choose a path of leavig doors open and hoping life finds a way, that there are people out there that mean more than just a few words.

Hmm, all good thoughts.

In the end the sunset, and I watched a while longer until the sunset was no more, and then I too drove off knowing that at some point our paths would cross again, as we watch the sunset once more.

So as the sun sets on another day. Find those things that are priceless to you, live for them, and be happy with all you do, no matter what. (Well, most of what you do, lol)

Sleep sweet, love to the moon and back, and the stars beyond…
