Communicating in this age…

The sun sets on another day…

I laughed.

It was an easy laugh born of the strangeness of yesterday. Here I was talking to a computer and being as clear as possible. Talking slowly, and the post I wrote was horrid. Yes, a scary word, but horrid is true. It put me down a path, how bad is it daily where we can’t understand each other. Remember, we are not alone on that bird feeder.

I know I know, what does this have to do with sunsets. Well, I would like to think that the sunset gives us a place to end a day, and  a sunrise a place to start. True, there is still night but most people slow down at night. (I tend to gear up) So anyway, why communication?

Well communication is the foundation of every day. I could take a picture each day and it would be fun, but I like the challenge of going a little further, pressing the envelope, and trying to do more by writing each day. That is my focus as well as the picture. So does it matter? Well, yes. How we communicate is at the core of who we are and what we should be.

Anyway, as I talked to a computer and was misunderstood, are we not misunderstood by people often? Take a moment and consider. Maybe we just need to say what we mean and move on.

So as the sun sets on another day, let’s enjoy it. Let’s talk to each other, not text or email or emoji, don’t get a bad translation, say what you mean and mean what you say, no matter what.

Sleep sweet, laugh out loud, and be careful of voice to text…
